- Ishan Jayaratne – One of the most underrated guys in the domestic structure, Ishan is a proven death bowler and he showcased his exploits in the provincial tournament held in early April, showing what he is capable of.
- Asitha Fernando – Has been playing a lot of A team and Emerging team cricket recently. He was one of the few positives in the Emerging Asia Cup and is predicted to lead the fast bowling lineup along with Lahiru Kumara so now would be the right time to introduce him.
- Binura Fernando – A tall left arm seamer who is a rare commodity these days. Played a T20I in 2015 but since then has been left out. Fernando has been playing domestic cricket in England so he’s got the exposure & no doubt he will be a great addition to the team.
