Sri Lanka’s Roshen Silva signs for Chorley Cricket Club in the UK

Chorley Cricket Club have swooped to sign Sri Lankan Test ace Roshen Silva as professional for the 2020 Northern Premier League season.

One of Sri Lanka’s most consistent domestic players, the 31-year-old is a right handed top order batsman and bowls useful off spin.

Plying his trade for Ragama, Silva made his Test debut in 2017, scoring a match-saving unbeaten 74 in Delhi against India.

Having scored more than 15,000 first class runs at an average of 48.92, Silva also boasts a respectable Test average of 35.10, which includes five half centuries and one century, which came against Bangladesh in Chattogram.
