I think not to use Wanindu & Chameera for any matches in IPL was a ploy of Indian Cricket Board, executed very smartly through Virat Koli. They purposely dint want both of them to play in any match as they know very well that these two bowlers are SL’s main trump cards. Also they know that SLC and our bowlers didn’t have any knowledge on the UAE pitches which are totally different to SL pitches and all our bowlers must make slight adjustments in their bowling speeds, line and lengths. If Wanindu and Chameera had some matches they would have got the best chance to make those adjustments in match situations and become totally unplayable during the WC. However I expect Mahela knows these factors and will guide our bowlers to improve slightly to suit to the UAE pitches. I will post an important article on Island Cricket today. I personally think Cameera, Lahiru, Chamika, Wanindu & Theekshana will make be the most dangerous bowling unit during this WC, with these slight adjustments.
