Chamari blazes to 64-ball century as Sri Lanka beat Netherlands

Chamari Atapattu scored a scintillating century off 64 balls as Sri Lanka opened their qualifying campaign for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup with a 34-run win over Netherlands under the Duckworth/Lewis rain rule at HarareChamari Atapattu yesterday.

Invited to bat first, Sri Lanka rattled off an imposing 278-9 with Atapattu setting the pace with a scorching knock of 111 off 70 ball inclusive of five sixes and 11 fours. She shared an opening stand of 93 off 82 balls with Hasini Perera (27).
