Former Cricketing legend Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene hope that spinner Akila Dhananjaya action remodelling will result in him making a strong comeback prior to the World Cup.
The Duo of ex-Test skippers shared their thoughts on Thursday at the SSC during a press conference.
“‘From the reports that we have received he will not have to make any serious changes but remodel his action slightly to get back soon said Mahela wishing that everyone from the coaches to the bowlers will make this a lesson for the future. “ said Mahela
“I believe that for any bowler who plays international cricket their actions need to be viewed in super slow motion irrespective of whether an umpire think it suspicious or not. It’s the bowler’s right to know whether their actions are legal or not. It’s indeed a big blow for Sri Lanka; it’s not easy for someone to re model the action overnight. All the coaches and the players will have to work hard to rectify it and I see a clear pathway and a strong comeback” said Sangakkara wishing that the procedure will change.
I strongly feel jusprit bumrah action illegal .not every time he chucking but sometime when try to make extra effort clearly see he is chucking. why icc or umpires ignore that. please can any explaine me?
How unfair it is for a bowler to go through this when there are other suspected bowlers who have not been tested? ICC has some serious questions to answer in terms of fair play for every nation and player
