This is obviously an Unfair picking of a rare miss common to all players. Targeting an individual player to demean his assertiveness , when cannot find any other way to attack.
In 2018 only series won achieved by SL (Triangular series in BD), apart from the series winning batting contribution in the final (receiving MoM award for that effort), Upul Tharanga had also equaled (Manama’s record) SL ODI record for CATCHING by taking the highest number of 7 CATCHES in a 5-ODI series in SL history.! and also equaled highest number of 3 catches in an inning record too.

This is a good answer to humbug critics who always try to find some slightest rare glitch/ mishap (common to even world’s best players specialized in those departments ) to unfairly magnify and criticize forever to fabricate wrong impressions about this guy.
I can tell you one thing, there is no other SL cricketer improved in fielding & batting than Upul Tharanga during past 3 year.! This is an undeniable factual statement proved in the middle. Take a look at this.!

Mates, I just shared a random video but I have nothing against Tharanga.
By the way, we don’t need any explanation to prove if Aravinda, Sanga and Kohli are good batsmen or if Mahanama, Dilshan and Jonty Rhodes are good fielders as everyone knows how good they are .
If long explanations with stats/videos are needed to prove how good Tharanga is, that clearly implies what Tharanga really is.
Yeah…… none of them were subjected to such unfair harassment, numerous cruel axing episodes restricting to solitary matches, given over days, months up to years apart, repeatedly throwing such stumbling blocks to prevent gaining his rhythm /confidence. They were never subjected to any unfair criticism targeting to demean their achievements….if none pulling their legs unfairly as this guy experienced during the past 5 yrs of career (3yrs virtually wiped off) , then why should anyone bother to defend them with such stats & facts?
As long as, there is no humbug criticism or unfair critics targeting any player, why should anyone bother to stand up and counter it? So the scenario is entirely different. Missing the point here & naively assuming it as a weakness covering up attempt …. and implying it again to downgrade Tharanga… proves the prime need of such countering to buster them.
