What about this team for ODI’s until 2023 World Cup?
Since most of our youngsters weren’t up to the expectations, I believe we should go with experience. Still all members of the squad will be below 35 at the time of the World Cup.
Preferred squad:
Kusal Perera, Dilshan Munaweera, Dimuth Karunaratne (C), Dananjaya de Silva (VC), Dinesh Chandimal(w/k), Angelo Mathews, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dasun Shanaka, Dushmantha Chameera, Binura Fernando, Lasith Embuldeniya/Nuwan Pradeep (depend on conditions).
Extra : Lahiru Thirimanne, Avishka Fernando, Chamika Karunaratne, Vishwa Fernando, Praveen Jayawickrama
