I don’t think Sanath or Vaas will be selected to play the world Cup directly without being part of the national team for this long

Lankans have a settled batting line up and the bowling department seem to doing gud with Malinga and Murali being consistent performers.

Sanath has passed his best couple of years ago and is trying to drag his career only to be neglected by the selectors

Now this called a childish comment . Prince got away with the LBW decision and AB was wrongly ruled out and these things aren’t new at all . This does happen and we have been at the receiving end umpteen no of times . Reasoning couple of wrong decision for Proteas defeat is absolutely non sense especially when their captain admitted that the poor performance in the 1st innings costed the test for them and for your information victory margin was huge so those decisions might not have made any difference

Durban track has more bounce than any other track in south africa and SA batsmen where found wanting on a bowling friendly track. Getting out thrice in 130’s in the recent past justifies my point

One thing which you have failed to understand is how some individual performances can boost the morale of the team and help them to come good for the remaining part of the series

Indians were believed to be bundled out early in the 1st test and hand SA a easy win which did not happen becuase of the heroics of Sachin and counter attack from Dhoni

Media did a great job of covering the achievement which was never achieved before and probably will never be achieved in future

Between good to see that India have hit back and shown why they deserve the no.1 ranking more than any other teams in the world

As far as sub continent teams are concerned India is light years ahead of them

Writer does not seem to have enough knowledge about the game of cricket and that too Indian Cricket in specific !!!

Sachin has achieved some thing which no one has ever achieved or probably no one will ever achieve in the days to come . 50 test centuries has not come in a day or 2 or series or a year . Its the reward sachin has received after serving for 21 years at the highest level . So media did his job of conveying the hardwork and commitment of an great Indian to the public all over the world

Now regarding the test played at Johannesberg . Indians basically have been a poor starters . They have often lost the 1st test or struggled to draw the 1st test be at home or away and the reasons are many especially when they play in the overseas conditions . In SA team India did not even play a practice game before the 1st test . We had the bad luck of batting 1st on a damp wkt very 1st day and the only Indian who looked like scoring runs in those extremely difficult conditions was none other than Sachin

After ordinary bowling performance team needed a great effort from batsmen for putting up even a decent total on the board infact everyone knew what the scoreline would read after this test

It was Sachin like always who brought some confidence and smile back on to the Indian public and the dressing room by scoring a ton in the 3rd innings . That tom might not have helped India save a test which is none of his fault but what it gave was the confidence to fight back and something to cheer for despite the innings defeat

We have leveled the series with a huge win at Durban. I say huge win by considering the low scores in all 4 innings . Sachin might not have contributed in this test but the inspiration he gave after notching a ton in 1st test might have helped the players to great extent

Lastly , Series is not over yet and Sachin may well score a ton at capetown and show how valuable his contributions are to the teams success .
