Well the problem is not with the captain or the selectors. Problem is our batters. including Mathews.If you axe mathews from captaincy, your best choice is either chandimal or tharanga. Tharanga hasn’t secured his place in the team yet. Also Tharanga and Chandimal won’t be able to win matches if SL scores less than 200 runs in almost every game. But people criticize Mathews, because they want Tharnga to captain. Just see the result at the end of this series. And if Mathews is not letting tharanga open, why isn’t he opening under his captaincy?? Right now the whole team is trying to win matches. Our batters and fielders have a lot to improve.
