  • මගුල තමයි……….I’ll tell
මගුල තමයි……….I’ll tell you this. Sri Lanka is the World’s WEAKEST ODI TEAM among top 10 test playing nations. We have to accept that our players are not capable enough to compete in international level enough. That is the bitter truth. They will become a good team but they need bit more applications and pressure absorbing ability.

But, at them moment,Sri Lanka is the World’s WEAKEST ODI TEAM among top 10 test playing nations.

  • Isn’t this the bitter
    Isn’t this the bitter reality….???

1.Sri Lanka is Struggling to find a proper coach. No one likes to join SLC
    with the current situation.

2.Sri Lanka is struggling to find a propor chief selector. Sudden news pops
up on naming this person, that person and then again someone else as the
chief selector but at the end,no propor chief selector yet.(Don’t know
whether Graeme Labrooy has been permanently appointed).

    3. No one (Former great cricketers and administrators) is there for even
thinking of at least a mere involvement in giving a helping hand with
    the current situation.

4.Current administrators and the sports minister seem to be trying in
running the SLC with parties who act on their favours.(I am afraid of the
direction towards where they steer SLC).

5.Mean while there are some politicians(Who are pretending as they are utter cricket lovers) are trying to fish in troubled waters.

  • Remember the old saying “All
Remember the old saying “All the Carbs dance till water boils…….”. Let them dance, but REMEMBER………….they can do whatever they wish till the expectators/fans are fond of cricket. Once they leave cricket, all the parties, dramas, narrators will be over. That will affect on players too.

If the things happen like this way…….that day won’t be too far away……………….

    FULL STOP

  • That is the point I keep
That is the point I keep telling and I am trying to tell. How many more hidden talents can be found if you have a proper domestic cricketing structure. Unfortunately that is what we lack at the moment.

I have pointed out this earlier. Sri Lanka has been playing as a full ICC member since 1982. If we go through the history, around 90% of players who played for national team have come from only 3 provinces (Western,Southern,Central).

Isn’t our school cricket mostly based on few popular schools around the above 3 provinces???

Isn’t our domestic cricket based on few popular clubs in Western Province??? What has happened to the other provinces(Sabaragamuwa,North Central,North Western,Uva,North and Eastern Prvinces)???

Don’t they possess any cricketing talent???

Can someone name any player who represented or has the potential to represent national team Apart from Rangana Herath,Shaminda Eranga,Asitha Fernando(North Western Province),Tharanga Paranavithana,Chaminda Bandara,Isuru Udana-(Sabaragamuwa Province) from OUTSTATION???

Sri Lanka is a small country but we have enough hidden talents. But for me, the issue is we don’t have a proper system to utilize it and the authorities don’t seem to have intention to take any step forward.

If SLC want club cricket, let them alone but can’t these clubs invest on these OUTSTATION players to SHAPE UP????

Finally, I thank Mr. Amila Saman for Sharing this video……..!!! Hope that the relevant authorities take an action on this matter…!!!

  • He seems to be an exciting
He seems to be an exciting prospect. As a right armer he could bowl that away swinging deliveries from the right handed batsmen. That is extremely good. If he can bowl at 145-150kph with swinging,he will be a player to watch in future.
